Woman's Day
Discover the practical beauty and creative spirit of vintage American needlework with our Woman’s Day Publications collection — a curated selection of authentic, original pattern booklets and special issues.
Woman’s Day magazine was first published in 1931 by The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P). Originally created as an affordable homemaking guide sold right in A&P supermarkets, it quickly became one of America’s favorite women’s magazines. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Woman’s Day was especially loved for its inspiring needlework and craft special editions. These dedicated booklets and “Super Special” issues featured hundreds of patterns for knitting, crochet, granny squares, afghans, fashion accessories, and home décor — all presented with the magazine’s signature practical, stylish, and budget-friendly approach.
Today, these original printed publications are true collector’s items. Each booklet offers a wonderful window into the crafting trends and creativity of its era while remaining fully usable for today’s fiber artists and makers. Because these are genuine vintage originals (not reproductions or digital files), inventory is very limited. We currently have only a small selection in stock and are actively hunting for more to expand the collection.
If you love classic crochet, vintage knitting, granny square projects, or collecting pieces of needlework history, this is the perfect collection for you. Browse our current offerings and check back often as we add new finds.
