The first Star Book — Star Book of Crochet Designs No. 1, designed and edited by Anne Orr for American Thread Co. and printed Copyrighted 1935.
This 28-page booklet launched the Star series with Silkine, Silkateen-Sansilk, Star Crochet Cord, and Star Pearl Cotton table linens: a Colonial Star luncheon set on the front cover, a Cosmos cloth on the back, plus wheel and popcorn-star spreads, filet alphabets for monograms, Chippendale and fruit luncheon sets, edgings, bags, and collars. Patterns are crochet only (including filet).
