Table Treasures, Book No. 152 (1940) is a lovely early-1940s collection from The Spool Cotton Company featuring elegant crocheted tablecloths “for Gracious Settings.”

The cover stars the beautiful Idyll No. 7302, a large formal tablecloth worked in circular floral motifs and shown set with fine china, crystal, and a fruit centerpiece. Inside you’ll find additional tablecloth designs that capture the refined, openwork style of the period.

This copy is in good condition, with the only notable wear being the holes punched for binder storage (a common practice among mid-century crocheters who kept their favorite booklets organized).

A wonderful example of wartime-era American thread crochet for the formal dining table.
